Omaha Hi-Lo (also known as Omaha 8 or better) is commonly viewed as one of the most complex but popular poker games. Omaha 8 or better starts exactly like a normal game of Omaha. Four cards are dealt to every player. A round of wagering ensues in which players can bet, check, or drop out. Once all the players have in turn called or dropped out, a further card is revealed on the turn. a further round of wagering follows and then the river card is flipped. Unlike Holdem, where the board can be everyone’s hand, in Omaha hi low the player must utilize precisely 3 cards from the board, and precisely two cards from their hand. No more, no less.
